Head Trainer

Kris Di Carlo

With over two decades of experience in the equestrian world, Kris Di Carlo has spent the last ten years owning and operating his own facility with the same care and attention he would expect as a client. His journey began at William Woods University, where he earned a degree in Equine Science and Business Administration—laying a strong foundation for what would become a distinguished career.

Kris has served as a head trainer for 14 years in both Texas and Florida and spent six formative years as an assistant trainer with Team McAllister in California, under the mentorship of Jenni Martin McAllister and Steve McAllister. This time with Team McAllister enriched his skill set and solidified his commitment to excellence in training and horse care.

In 2013, Kris turned his lifelong dream into reality by opening Kris Di Carlo Equestrian in Bradenton, FL. What started as a 24-stall facility quickly expanded to 30, reflecting the success of his program and his unwavering dedication to equine development. At the heart of his philosophy is the belief in proper physical development for both horse and rider—a principle that continues to shape every aspect of his program.

Known for his engaging and metaphor-rich teaching style, Kris creates an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere where riders of all levels and aspirations feel supported. Whether a rider is working toward their first 18” jump or aiming for the Grand Prix ring, they’ll find a home in Kris’s program.

In 2023, Kris’s dedication and impact were recognized nationally when he was selected as a Top 10 Finalist for Trainer of the Year by Practical Horseman Magazine. His genuine love for the sport and commitment to the growth and well-being of horses and riders continue to define his legacy in the equestrian community.
